Sacred Vibras offers traditional and alternative forms of healing that promote self-discovery, growth, and transformation. Sisters Christy and Tanya aim to reimagine and center the wellness of the BIPOC community with spiritual tools and practices that trace back to their own Salvadoran and Korean heritage.
Tanya and Christy are sisters, born and raised in the LA neighborhood of Koreatown, an area of the city that proudly reflects their own unique mix of Central American (proud Salvi’s!) and Korean roots. Whether they realized it or not, they started on this spiritual journey together at an early age when they were introduced to the world of curanderismo (healing) by their mom. They would tag along on visits to curanderas (spiritual healers) for energy cleanses where their mom would connect with the spirit world for clarity during difficult times. Practices like getting egg limpias (cleanses), using agua de Florida (spiritual water) or lighting candles for protection were normalized and stayed with the girls as they grew into young ladies.
Christy stayed close to the world of healing through formal education, getting her Master’s in Social Work from UCLA then transitioning to a professional career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). For Tanya, it was the sudden passing of their dad in her early 20’s that made her start listening more intently to her intuition and connecting to the energy and vibrations around her. She engaged in spiritual practices that enhanced her clair senses, and embarked on a journey of self-love by uncovering shadows to embrace her divine light within.
Some years later, the spiritual paths of these two sisters became entwined again after Tanya gifted Christy an energy healing session. The session left Christy feeling deeply connected to a new and sacred form of healing and became the driving force behind her wanting to learn more. In subsequent conversations about an energy certification program offered by The Mystic Living School, Christy and Tanya decided to both enroll and shortly thereafter, Sacred Vibras was born.
